We are entering the election period in BRAC politics. Every year, five positions become up for grabs in the fall. There are currently at least two directors who are not seeking re-election, so to have a full BOD of ten, BRAC needs at least two new candidates. The board of directors establishes policies, recommends bylaw changes, proposes the schedule of fees, and generally sets the course for the organization. The goal is always to have a good combination of stakeholder groups on the board, such as elite racers, master racers, junior parents, officials, race directors, and club presidents, to name a few. If you think you would like to help BRAC and competitive cycling, please consider being part of the BRAC structure. For more information, and to find the nomination form, see the Board of Director's page.
Nominations will be accepted until a week before the annual club council meeting. This year's meeting has not been scheduled yet, but will be in the latter half of January.
